Best diet?
My boyfriend and I are starting to diet but we are not sure what the best diet is? Low carb? Low fat?
Do we need to count calories? Healthy meal ideas?
Has anyone had really good results with any particular diet?
Our goal is to diet for 30 days, loose some weight and/or tone up.
Yes we will be going to the gym 3x a week.

I’ve had wonderful results on Weight Watchers. I took off 20 lbs. with it a few years ago. And it’s not very restrictive at all, in fact, it’s more about portion control and calories/fat. So it’s one that you can stay on indefinitely. Dietwise, this tends to be my typical day:
Breakfast:
- Fat Free Light Yogurt
- Banana
OR
- Instant Oatmeal with raisins
Lunch:
- Hummus & Veggie Pita
OR
- Thin Deli Sliced Turkey Breast Sandwich with light mayo
- 100 calorie pack of chips (like sunchips or doritos)
- 1 c. grapes
Dinner:
- 1 serving lean meat (like chicken breast), veggies, etc. Maybe a serving (approx. 1/2 c.) rice.
Snacks (any of these will do):
- Light Kettlecorn
- Sugar Free Jell-O or pudding
- Carrot Sticks
- Applesauce
etc.

i hate fad diets.. so i’m not going to point out a particular diet plan.. but basically avoid sugar and white flour.. and caffiene.. caffiene stores pockets of fat in your body.. avoid junk food and eat breakfast.. drink tons of water.. and if you have the choice of frying or grilling something, grill it.. oh and don’t only eat like once a day or something.. it’s healthy to have up to six small meals a day (three actual meals, three snacks).. only eating once a day makes you body think it’s starving and it will actually hold on to fat.. so yeah.. that’s not really a specific diet like atkins or anything.. but i hope it helped anyway.. good luck and congrats on wanting to be healthier..
